The Challenge
It's a marathon on stairs up on the jewel of our city, with no end in sight. 256 steps. 10 times up and down the mountain. It's Dean Whalen's brutal workout. But someone will need to do more than 10 to help us reach our target, think you can beat our champ?
This year's climbing target: 150 thousand steps.
This year's fundraising target: $30 000 to be donated to the Hospital's Autism Spectrum Disorders Program.
When
May 3 2008
Where
The Mount Royal Stair Climb for Kids begins at 8 a.m. on Pine Avenue, just east of McGill's McIntyre Medical Building. From there to the top, and the spectacular cityscape that awaits your triumphant eyes at the peak of your trip up.
Why
A fun event in the freshest air of our city, excercise, camraderie, sponsored, and for sick children. Need a better reason? Try listening, like Dean Whalen did, to CHOM's radiothon of hope for the Annual Caring for Kids Radiothon, it's enough to inspire anyone -- that's how this event started.
